Q: Where are you located? 

A: Swimming lessons are taught at Washington Park Natatorium located at 101 Ollie Street Atlanta, GA 30314

 

 

Q: When do you ofer classes? Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.


Q: Do You Offer Swim Lesson at local Community Pools?

A: Yes. If you are interested in having an All-Star Swim Instructor come out to your community pool to teach group swim lessons? Click here. Please note: Travel fees will apply. There must also be a minimum number of (4) participants. Group lesson will last approximately 45 min.
 

 

Q. How many lessons will it take me to learn to swim?

A: Each student's background and learning abilities are uniquely different. Students typically learn at their own pace. We can’t predict exactly you will learn to swim, however we can promise that we will provide detailed instruction in a safe and positive environment to provide the best assistance possible to help build on your understanding application of each stroke.

 

Q: How do I schedule a lesson?

Q: What happens if I’m late for my lesson?

A: If you are running late, please give us a heads up as soon a possible. Please call our office to let us know you are running late. Unfortunately, there are no make-ups for the time lost. Your lesson will begin immediately upon your arrival. Please keep in mind that the instructor will have another lesson immediately after your lesson.

 

 

Q: What happens if my child begins to cry?

A: Please remember that your child has just been introduced to a new environment. Our instructors are professionals. They will do their best to calm and comfort your child. It is best if you remain calm and in the seating area. This will allow the instructor to build a rapport with your child and the class will remain uninterrupted. Q: Payment Options?

A: All private lessons are to be paid in full prior to the start of a package. You will be given a receipt after full payment is received. Please make all money orders/checks payable to Leslie Pierce. *Any card based payment will incur a convenience charge of 3.0%.

Q: What if I miss a lesson?

A: It is the student’s responsibility to request a make up class for a missed lesson. Requests must be made 72 hours in advance of the anticipated missed lesson. Times available for a make up lesson vary and depend on the instructor’s and the facility’s schedule. Make up lessons are NOT guaranteed, but every attempt will be made to accommodate. With 72 hours notice, you will be credited for the following month. If less than 72 hours notice is given, you will not be credited. Refunds are not given.

 

Q: Should I report health related issues?

A: All health related issues must disclose to the instructor before the start of the first lesson. This is not limited to ADD, ADHD, autism, retardation, coordination issues, and asthma.

Q: Cancellation Policy ?

A: If for any reason you need to cancel a lesson, 24 hours notice is required. All lessons cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled day/time will be charged against the current package of lessons purchased.

If the swimmer is more than 10 minutes late to his or her scheduled lesson, the lesson will be cancelled, and the client will be charged. Rescheduling options should be addressed directly with the instructor. 

 

Q: What materials/equipment will I need for my first lesson?

A: (1) Swim suite, (1) pair of sandals, (1) dry towel, a smile, an open mind and a positive attitude! Goggles, and a swim cap are optional.

 

Q: How long should I wait to get in the water after I eat?

A: Please do not consume any food 2.5 - 3 hours before your scheduled lesson. If a child gets sick in the pool once, you will be required to pay a $100.00 pool cleaning fee. If a child gets sick twice, your child may have an issue that will preclude him or her from swimming. No refunds.

Q:How early should I arrive at my swim lesson?

A: Please arrive ten minutes early and depart promptly. Due to limited changing space, it is recommended that your child arrive with their swimsuit or swim diaper already underneath their clothing.  This will also help you save time in getting them ready.

Q: What’s the earliest age that you teach?

A: We begin instruction at 5 years of age.
