Level I: Starfish

  • The starfish level is our starter level for absolute beginners. Students start enrolling as young as 3 years old. Students should be comfortable in shallow water without parent. The goal for students in this particular level is to gain an increased level of comfort in the water while developing a basic understanding of fundamental water skills. Students will learn foundational skills such as retrieval of underwater objects, breathing techniques, and elementary front crawl movements. This course is great for students who want to gain a fresh introduction to the water.

  • In this level, students will gradually build upon the foundational skills learned in level 1. In addition to stroke technique, students will also learn water safety techniques which encourage safe fun in the water! Upon completion of this course, students should feel comfortable fully submerge shallow water, display increased coordination of leg and arm movements, and be able to perform a front and back glides unassisted.

Basic elements of other competitive strokes will be introduced in this level in addition to deep water surival skills. Upon completion of this course students should be able to display proficient kicking and arm coordination of the front crawl, shallow and deep-water float, and kicking techniques.

Level IV: Angelfish

In this level, students will gain an overview of more competitive strokes such as the breaststroke. In addition to learning new strokes, students will be introduced to basic water survival skills. Upon completion of this course students will be able to display the proper breaststroke and buttefly breathing, efficient breaststroke and buterfly kick, and the correct breaststroke and butterfly pull.
